Ben Hoyt is a classically trained acoustic-electric violinist based in Los Angeles, California. A conservatory graduate of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, Ben received degrees in both Violin Performance and Recording Arts and Sciences.
Ben has performed with numerous acts including ELO and Trampled by Turtles, as well as with members of Guns N' Roses, Boston, and Heart. Ben has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, Strathmore Hall and the National Archives Rotunda. As a composer & producer, Ben has worked with individuals and organizations including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra.
Ben's live performances combine a deep sense of musicality with electrifying improvisation, while showcasing a joy in performing that captivates audiences. Ben's compositions incorporate an eclectic set of influences: classical, electronic, improvisatory, and demonstrate a love for all kinds of music.
Based in Los Angeles, California, Ben can travel to your event or perform remotely.
